About as subtle as an earthquake, I know, my mistakes were made for you.

Only three days after my last post, I seem to have found a tiny bit of motivation. The motivation comes in the form of this beautiful ASOS dress. Smock dress? Check! Gingham? Check! (excuse the pun). If I hadn't been working all weekend, this is definitely what I would have worn to enjoy the sun. Sadly as I spent most of the sunny hours making coffee, this dress was reserved for Sunday evening eating monster munch.

The sun may have made an appearance this weekend, but I still don't think my legs are ready for the light of day. Or rather, the light of day isn't ready for my legs, they're so pasty I'd say they almost look a little grey. I think I might be clinging onto the tights for a little longer.

So this time tomorrow I'll be on a plane to New York (yes I'll shut up about it soon) so I thought it was about time I started packing.

I took it upon myself to start planning some outfits. Obviously it's pretty chilly there right now, so factor in some coats and tights to these outfits. These are just a few outfits out of the clothes I've packed, and as usual, I'm pretty sure I'm taking more than I need. Amongst the things i my suitcase there's a couple of cream jumpers, a grey jumper, a teal jumper. Do you see a pattern?

I'll be back to posting in about a week. Expect lots of photos from my trip!

Candy heart. If anyone could, you could have a candy heart.

So award for the most boring outfit goes to me! I just can't seem to put on anything interesting any more, and I just live in my new easy jeans. The hat made an appearance today in preparation for New York (i've named it my New York hat).

It's been pretty sunny today, so I'm hoping if the nicer weather sticks around it'll convince me to dress in something a little more colourful.

On a side note, only 8 days 'til New York! I'm very very excited to say the least. If anyone has been and knows of anything fun I should do, please let me know!

Oh, and Happy Valentines Day!
I don't like Valentines Day, but I like THIS song.

There's always somebody taller, with more of a wit.

Dress - ASOS
T-shirt - Zara

So my spending ban isn't going quite as well as I'd hoped. This dress arrived this morning, and despite making me look the tiniest bit pregnant, I love it. It's so comfy, and easy to throw on over a t-shirt or collared shirt.

I spent today baking cookies yet again, I just can't seem to get enough of them. The rest of my afternoon has been spent sat in bed, browsing through Pinterest and refreshing Twitter. I'm getting a little obsessed with pinning again.

I now have a work meeting to go to, so it's probably time to change out of my pyjamas and head off.

Cookies and Jeans

Top - Zara
Jeans - American Apparel

I've had both days off work this weekend, which is a very rare occurrence. I've had my eye on the AA Easy Jeans for a while now, but I just couldn't bring myself to part with £60 for them. When ASOS had 25% off last week, after much uming and ahing, I decided to go for it. I am so glad I did. These are the comfiest jeans I've put on in a long time, plus they're wonderfully high waisted. The only downside is the length (hello short legs!) but this can easily be combatted by just rolling them up a bit, I enjoy cold ankles.

I decided to be a little bit productive yesterday and made cookies using Rose from The Londoner's recipe! I had to improvise a little, and also chucked in some fudge cubes for good measure, but they've actually turned out to be pretty tasty. It's a rarity that I bake something that I'm proud of. You should all go check out the recipe here if you want to make them!

I plan on spending the day finishing these off, though there really aren't many left, I had most of them yesterday.

Top - New Look
Pinafore - Topshop

I picked up this dress in Topshop a few weeks back, and whilst it makes me feel like I'm on my way to school, I actually really love it.

I was after the American Apparel cord circle skirt, but couldn't justify the price. This actually cost me £2 more, but it seemed somewhat ok for a dress.

I look pretty miserable and tired in these photos, and for that I apologise. I've just got over what I think was a mix of flu and a really bad cold, and I'm just feeling pretty run down all the time. I now have two days off for the weekend so it's time to rest!

Wear It Again

Dress - ASOS
Cardigan - Topshop
Watch - Marc by Marc Jacobs

I bought this dress for my work Christmas party with the view that I could, 'throw a jumper on', and wear it again. So that's exactly what I've done here (if we swap 'jumper' for 'cardigan'). This is probably one of the comfiest dresses I own, and the fact that it'll be wearable in Summer, without tights, is a massive plus.

It's also, shock horror, a colour! I usually only ever wear greys, whites and blacks with a hint of denim, so it's nice having something a tad brighter in my wardrobe.

Jacket - Zara
Trousers - Topshop
T-Shirt - ASOS
Boots - Topshop
Bag - Zara

So after what felt like months of waiting (in reality it was about 12 days) my beautiful new Zara bag finally arrived! I don't own a lot of red, and by that I mean I really don't own any red, so this bag is lovely addition to my Zara bag collection.

I also picked this jacket up in the Zara sale just after Christmas. It is so cosy, the perfect jacket for this surprisingly mild weather we've been having. I need it to get colder, I have far too many scarves I need to be wearing.  I got the boots for Christmas and I like to think of them as my Santa boots. They look a bit similar I think.

We finally re-booked New York at the weekend, so come the 22nd February I'll be flying out there. Once again, I am so so excited. Let's just hope that this time it all goes to plan.

O Christmas Tree!

Shirt - Miss Selfridge via Ebay
Shorts - River Island
T-shirt - ASOS
Scarf - H&M

Despite it being just over a week 'til Christmas (definitely not ready for this) it isn't too chilly outside today. Once I actually leave the house and go out I'll probably find that my denim shirt won't suffice though. This outfit post also features my christmas tree, and half a sofa and a curtain, though it looks a lot prettier at night with the lights on.

I had my work Christmas party on Saturday, and despite saying I'd do an outfit post, I sort of drunk too much champagne and forgot. It was a good night though.

I'm off out today to finish buying some last little Christmas bits. Then back to work until Christmas!

Shirt - Monki
Scarf - H&M (men's)
Jeans - Topshop
Boots - ASOS
Hat - Topshop

I am wearing a hat. The girl who hates hats (unless they're Christmas themed) actually bought a hat. I've not dared to wear this out the house, but I'm thinking I'll take it with me to New York when I go at the end of the month.

This was my outfit for picking Christmas trees and generally doing a lot of wrapping and decorating yesterday, sans hat of course. This shirt it so so comfy. I saw Shabna post about it a while back and I had to get it. I was a bit dubious at first as I thought it looked a little too like pyjamas, but I soon got over that once I'd worn it out.

My hair seems to have lost its curls and it feels so boring at the moment. I feel like I need to do something with it but I'm not sure what?

It's hard to get around the wind.

Top - ASOS
Scarf - H&M
Jeans - Zara
Coat - Mango

So yesterday I actually had a day off work. I was about to venture outside to take some outfit photos, but the sky decided that it would then be a good time to rain, hence the annoying indoor outfit photos. It's not a particularly interesting outfit, but at the moment all I really want to be wearing is my pyjamas, and it's certainly a step up from those.

Coat - Mango
Jeans - Topshop
Jumper- Tesco

This is less of an outfit post and more of a 'it's cold and I'm wearing a coat' post, but hey ho. It's got really chilly the past few days so I decided it was about time to start wearing my new coat. Although it's meant to be over-sized, I still think it's a little too big for me, but it is cosy.

I have a day off today, and after a stressful morning in a Tesco filled with children (can't wait for half term to finish) I'm going to spend the rest of it washing my hair and curling up in bed. I may even tidy up my room a bit as I want to do a few more room posts. I'm thinking my clothes rail next, once I've sorted it out at least.

I've actually got tomorrow off work as well, which is a first. I think I'll go up to Winchester and see Pete, then finally pick up the last of my things. Hope you all have lovely weekends too.

Top - H&M
Jeans - Topshop

Outside is getting increasingly grey and rainy, but trying to find somewhere decent to take outfit photos inside is verging on impossible. Living in a house full of sloped ceilings and bright wallpaper doesn't leave me with a lot of options. What I need is a nice bright room with white walls but, unfortunately, my house is lacking in those.

Today's outfit is very boring, but it was mainly for the purpose of trying to find somewhere to take future outfit photos. Maybe I'll just have to brave my garden with a an umbrella in the future.

I actually have a day off work today, and so far I've celebrated by doing absolutely nothing. I may pop into town later, though I really need to stop spending money for a while. I'm going to make myself something yummy for lunch (once my mum returns from Tesco) then make the most of my only day off for another week or so.

I hope you all have lovely Fridays.

New Shoes

Shirt - H&M
Skirt - H&M
Scarf - H&M
Boots - H&M

I could really do with finding a new spot to take photos. The whites here all seem very very bright! Today I popped out to buy a new work skirt and came back with a new scarf, new shoes (both pictured) and a new dress. Oops.

I picked up this shirt from H&M the other week and I love it. I needed to get some colour back into my wardrobe, so I thought I'd take baby steps with this patterned shirt. It's really comfy, and the perfect length to wear with jeans. I only wish it was a bit longer for this outfit, I'd like it if it covered more of my skirt.

I've also just realised that my whole outfit here is H&M. Very unintentional. I love my new boots, despite them being a size too big. They only had them in a 3 or 5, and being a 4 I just wasn't patient enough to wait. I've purchased insoles but I need to get my hands on some heel grips as they're still a bit on the large size. I suppose I could have got them online, but I've not heard great things about H&M delivery. I'll just wear a lot of socks instead.

Cream & Leather

Jeans - Topshop

I've been after a cream leather jacket for quite a while now. I love the black ones that are around, but for some reason they just don't look right on me. Finding the perfect cream one was pretty hard, considering there's just not as many in cream as there are in black.

Fortunately I stumbled across this one in French Connection a couple of weeks ago. I never really go in there, but my mum and I were walking past and thought we'd have a look.

This jacket is so so soft and the silky inside makes it even better! Plus there was 20% off for students, so I couldn't say no really. The sleeves are a bit long on me, hence having to roll them up. I also have a thing about sleeves not quite meeting my wrists. This means that come winter my wrists are always a bit chilly. It's not the cheapest of jackets but it goes with pretty much everything. I think I've worn it most days since I bought it.

Have you seen any other nice cream leather jackets?

And I elongated my lift home.

Jumper - Tesco Clothing
Skirt - Topshop
Scarf - H&M
Boots - ASOS

So, long time no outfit post! I finally have my camera back from Winchester and thankfully it's not raining today, meaning I can take outside photos. I do love dressing for Autumn. This jumper is a new favourite of mine, it's so comfy. Tesco really does do good clothing sometimes.

I've gone from being essentially unemployed, to working a 40 hour week, so I suppose I'm doing quite well there. The only problem is with most of my friends being back at uni, I'm a bit lonely now. I really miss my uni friends too, the one downside of having left. I may just have to put out an advert for friends as everyone else seems too busy right now.

I have a day off today. I was planning on going to see Pete but right now I'm sat in bed contemplating watching some Gossip Girl.

I'm so happy to have my camera back, so expect more outfit posts soon!

If you were there, beware.

  Shirt - Ebay
  Trousers - Next
  Boots - Topshop
  Necklace - Topshop

Apologies for the badly focused and awkwardly posed photos. I need to invest in a remote for my camera really! I've spent my morning trying to pack stuff for uni. So far I've got lots of Gossip Girl & Disney DVDs, a cheese slicer and glitter glue. I have my priorities straight. The rest is all clothes but they're waiting 'til I move up in a week to be packed.

As expected, Friday was not my last day at work. I'm not working Saturday, Monday and Tuesday. I don't think they'll ever get rid of me. I'll probably be up in Winchester and still working there! I really don't feel ready to be moving out in a week. The whole summer I've known it's been coming but it just didn't feel real, and it still doesn't. I can't cook, I don't know how to use a washing machine and I don't even know if we have an iron. I'm sure I'll figure it out in no time..

Upon writing this post my new Yves Rocher mascara has arrived. Although I'm definitely no beauty blogger, I may do a review on it as I was so impressed with the sample size.

And do you still think love is a laser quest? Or do you take it all more seriously?

 Dress - River Island
 Bag - Zara
 Boots - Topshop

Wow. Two outfit posts in a week. I'm not sure what's going on here, but it's not bad. This outfit features my lovely new Zara bag (only £19.99). I needed a larger one for uni things, and I loved the look of this one. Admittedly it's not the sturdiest of bags, but it's so soft and pretty, and for £20, I couldn't say no.

Today I went out with my two best friends in search of the perfect underwear. I didn't find any, but I did some back with a new duvet for uni (which I'm far too excited about, the duvet, not uni) and lots of stationery. I think I spent a bit too much money, but I'm giving myself the next week to spend before I put myself on a ban.

I'm now working all week until my last shift on Friday, so I plan on spending the rest of my evening in bed with cups of tea. It's been so nice having a Sunday off. I could get used to this.

September Sun

  Top - Topshop
  Maxi Skirt - Zara
  Shoes - ASOS

It's been quite a while since my last outfit post, but with this sunny weather probably not sticking around for long, I thought I'd try to get one in.

I've had quite a productive morning. I've already popped to the doctors and packaged up ebay things, and now I'm doing this. All before work as well! I now need to go and post my ebay things, then get ready for work.

Hope you all have lovely weekends.

  Skirt - Zara
  Bikini Top - H&M
  Sunglasses - H&M

So on Friday, I felt a bit like a mermaid. It was sunny, I was slightly hungover, and I fell asleep in my garden. All whilst wearing what I shall now call my mermaid outfit. I love the paisley print of this bikini top, so it's nice when the weather is good enough to actually wear it. My mum bought be this Zara skirt a few weeks ago and I think the colour is really lovely.

I've spent the past few days working. I really need to start saving my wages properly now, as I move out in just over a month. Scary!

I'm now off to the pub for a bit, before I come home to a well deserved sleep. I don't start work until 2 tomorrow, so I plan on having a bit of a tidy and sorting out some blog posts. I hope you all had lovely weekends.
