Accidental Purchases: Liz Earle Signature Foundation

Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser
Topshop Highlighter - Crescent Moon

So on Saturday, I accidentally ended up in John Lewis and Topshop and accidentally ended up buying a few bits.

The first of these being my Liz Earle Signature Foundation. I've been on the hunt for a new foundation recently. I loved the YSL foundation and how it looked, but like a lot of other people, I have a feeling it was breaking me out.

I then went back to using my Perfection Lumiere, but I think as I'd been using a much lighter foundation previously, it felt too drying.

Whilst I was in John Lewis I popped over to the Liz Earle section and came across their foundation. I think what drew me in the most was how light it was, I can never seem to find foundation light enough for my skin.

I usually prefer a foundation with a heavier coverage. The Liz Earle Signature foundation is more of a light to medium coverage, and doesn't really cover imperfections all that well. However, the formula is lovely. It glides onto the skin and feels really light. I applied mine with the Real Techniques angled foundation brush. I'm not too sure how well I'll get on with this foundation if my skin has a few more blemishes, but right now it's actually really nice. I wore it for 8 hours at work yesterday and it didn't feel as though it needed re-applying at all.

Overall I'm pretty happy with this foundation, but I don't think my search for the perfect one is over yet.
