Tyneham & Worbarrow bay
In a bid to increase my knowledge of Dorset – because I suppose have lived here for 17 years – Charlotte has been taking on me day trips. In return, I've been making her buy things she doesn't need and kindly allowing her to take photos that I can use on my blog. I think it's a good deal. This time round we visited Tyneham and Charlotte spent the whole day taking lovely photos on her film camera only to find that there wasn't any film in the camera in the first place. She told me not to blog about it. I didn't listen.
I booked a place on Laura's 'How to write words people want to read' workshop on a bit of a whim back in January when I was sad and wanted productive things to look forward to. And I'm so glad I did. It was a super enjoyable day full of writing and also reading said writing out loud, which was terrifying but also no that bad really.
I met some really great people with equally great ideas and also there was a cat. Just saying.
In other March news:
- I bought a bath shelf. You know, the kind you see on Pinterest with candles and wine glasses and stuff balanced on them. I haven't used it to hold wine, but it does hold an kindle which makes bath time reading all the easier. It's defintely improved my bath times. nb: Don't try and read actual books, it doesn't keep them any drier.
- I bought at least another four books that I have yet to even start, but I did manage to start and finish Grief is the Thing With Feathers by Max Porter, which was a little odd in structure but also very very good.
- I booked a holiday to Rome
(belated) Things From February
February only has two or three less days than all the other months, yet by the rate it passes you'd think it was missing a whole week. I was going to say I forgot to write about it, but in all honesty I kept going to and then words didn't happen. But I did some things that I thought were worth mentioning. So here they are, as a slight afterthought.
I went pottery painting, which was potentially the most fun I had all month. I also spent a weekend in Bristol with Charlotte, which mainly revolved around eating, because what good weekend doesn't?
I started the buying of the books which have yet to be read. Oh, and I started therapy, but maybe I'll talk about that another time. Or not. I'm not sure.
