Hello Year

Yesteday I realised we're now over a week into 2014 and I have yet to write a blog post. I then vowed that I'd get straight on it. Half an hour later all my good intentions had gone out the window, or rather under the covers, and I decided to have a nap instead. That's the problem with this awful weather. I get home from work, it'll be too windy and rainy for outfit posts, so I opt for sleeping.

It's now half past nine at night, I'm about to watch Finding Nemo and now the urge to blog has taken over. I feel as though, if I was a youtuber, this would be one of those videos which involves a variation of the phrase 'Today I'm just going to have a chat with you'. I like writing outfit posts and the occasional beauty post, but on the whole, I really just like rambling and having a 'chat' so to speak with those who want to read.

I had an absolutely lovely Christmas filled with a lot of films (mainly Disney). I went to see Frozen twice. If you have yet to see it, you really really have to. The soundtrack has been on repeat for the last week and I still can't get enough, there's not one song that I don't like. I also received some lovely presents including quite a few mugs, I just can't get enough of them. I now own so many that we've had to clear a few shelves especially for them.

My New Years was blissfully uneventful. I've never been a big New Years Eve fan, so it was really nice to spend the evening in watching films with my family.

I received the 'One Line A Day' book for Christmas and I'm really enjoying filling it in so far. For someone with quite an annoying fear of forgetting, I love the idea that I'll be able to go back and find out what I got up to/was feeling on particular days.

In other news, the girl who knows nothing about cars and has previously said 'I don't care as long as it goes' has been converted. A few weeks ago I bought a Christmas present to me, from me in the form of my dream car. I'm now the proud owner of a little white Fiat 500. Parting with the money was hard, but I'm so so happy, and hopefully won't have to buy another car for a long while.

I've also been offered a part-time internship which is exciting. It's going to involve quite a bit of travelling to Bristol, but I'm definitely looking forward to having something to do that doesn't involve making coffee everyday.

I feel like I've caught up now. Upon writing this post I've taken a break to have a nice bubble bath but I have yet to put Finding Nemo on. If I know myself, and I'm pretty sure I do, this won't even get posted until tomorrow. So happy Thursday everyone.
