And at last I see the light

Maybe two posts on my trip to Disneyland is a little excessive but, after spending the week longing to go back and dreaming of being a princess, I think it had to be done. Here's a round up of some of my instagram snaps (trust me, there could have been a lot more).

We stayed in the New York Hotel for 4 nights, and it was a pretty good hotel. Comfy beds, nice breakfast and, despite googling it beforehand and being told there wasn't, free wifi! It was about a 10 minute walk through the Disney village to the park, and staying in a Disney hotel means early entry to the park in the mornings.

Luckily, our stay coincided with the (never ending) 20th Anniversary celebrations. The Disney Dreams light show that was shown at the castle in the evenings was absolutely magical. I definitely recommend watching it on youtube. The first night we were there, we watched it a little late from right at the back, so on the Friday we sat down at the front 90 minutes early to get a good view. I'm not usually one for being super keen and early, but it was definitely worth it.

Meeting Winnie the Pooh was definitely a highlight for me. He was my favourite as a child yet I'd managed to visit 4 times before without getting a hug. I also came home with a little more merchandise than planned. I picked up a few Tangled items, including a plastic straw cup with a spinning top (definitely a 5 year old at heart) because I just can't get enough of Rapunzel. Then I accidentally came home with a Dumbo and a Hamish Brave bear, whoops.

I feel as though I'm rambling a little now, but I rarely post in detail about the things that I do and it's nice to have a little reminder of my time there.

I suppose maybe it's time to get back to reality and face the fact that I'm not a princess after all.
