Hola Barcelona

I decided to make it my mission over the next couple of years to try and travel more. After visiting New York back in February, next on my list was Barcelona. I must say, I was very impressed with the city!

Although I was hoping for beautiful sunshine and temperatures in the 20's, (two things which did not happen) it still didn't disappoint. The architecture here was incredible, although I've definitely seen and heard enough about Gaudi to last me a very long time. The Sagrada FamΓlia and Casa Batllo (both pictured above) were particularly impressive.

We only had two full days in the city, but this short break was a perfect little getaway. We took two bus tours around the city, which was the perfect way to see everything in a short amount of time. Unfortunately we were there over a Sunday and a Monday, which just so happened to be a public holiday, this meant that I had to wait until the morning we left to pop into some of the shops I wanted to visit.

I stumbled across Happy Pills, the cutest sweet shop ever, which I saw Kim mention on her blog before I left.

I'd definitely go back to Barcelona, maybe next time when it's a little hotter. It was just such a lovely city to visit.

If anyone is interested in going there, I stayed in the Europark Hotel which was so nice and incredibly central to everything. We were a 10/15 minute walk from Las Ramblas, about 5 minutes from Casa Batllo and 15 from Sagrada Familia. I'd definitely recommend it!

Silly me didn't actually take a bag big enough to comfortably fit my camera in, so below are a collection of Instagram snaps from the rest of my trip.
