Things from May

May was a good month. Mainly because I turned 22, sang a LOT of Taylor Swift and spent the beginning of the month in Disneyland.

Disneyland

I was lucky enough to spend my birthday in Disneyland Paris. Essentially, I spent four days prancing around to the Main Street USA music and taking far too many polaroids on my Instax Mini.  I'd be lying if I didn't say that I'm still getting little pangs of the post-Disney blues.

22

Thanks to a certain Taylor Swift, I was more excited to turn 22 than I was for my 21st. Spending it in Disneyland was a massie bonus, and I also enjoyed some celebrations at home.

I spent the rest of May settling in nicely to my new job, which now means I'm super sad about leaving when my contract comes to an end in September.

After a busy couple of months, I've not got a lot planned for June. I'm just hoping for more sun so that I can get lots of wear out of the ridiculous amount of clothes I've bought lately.

Things From March

March has been an interesting month. I saw it in with scrambled egg and friends at Boston Tea Party and, as someone who likes to define my moments by food, I can say it was fantastic. Like everyone else, I can't believe we're already nearing Easter, yet March seems to have been quite a long month.

Pretty Little Liars I'll start things off with TV again. This month I took it upon myself to start watching Pretty Little Liars. I tried it a few years ago, but never made it past the first two episodes. This time I've persevered and I'm now halfway through season 2. I'm still undecided. There's a lot of drama and, as I like to call, 'bad bits'. The bits where you're shouting at your TV saying "stupid, don't do that just talk it through/wait/don't go there". I don't like 'bad bits'. I am enjoying it though, and I really really like Ashley Benson's lips. Weird? They're just so pink!

Good News After what felt like years of job hunting (it was three months FYI) I was finally offered a position. I start after Easter and cannot wait to have routine, get stuck into something new and be involved with paydays again!

New Things Instead of doing the sensible thing and waiting until my first payday to buy things, I decided to buy things anyway. I went a bit crazy with ASOS 20% off codes and 4 ASOS deliveries and a trip to H&M later, I decided to film what I bought. You can watch it if you like, but I'll apologise now for the awkwardness.

I've got good things planned for next month, which I'm really looking forward to. Here's to April!

Things From February

I've never been a fan of February, in my eyes it's a bit of a non-event (unless you're a fan of Valentines). Maybe the missing days just confuse me and I definitely always expect it to be warmer than it is, I don't know why the cold always surprises me. So in a nutshell, I never expect much of February. Regardless, I have enjoyed a few things.

How To Get Away With Murder. So I may have started watching this because of my slight crush on Harry Potter's Dean Thomas aka real life's Alfred Enoch aka HTGAWM's Wes Gibbins, but two episodes in and I was hooked. I like to think the title gives some indication of the plot but, for those of you interested, think lawyer, law students and a bit of murder for good measure. As I write this I have yet to watch the 2 hour series finale, so I'd better get to it!

Baking. My urge to bake has gone into overdrive this month. After waiting forever for my stand mixer to arrive, and eventually having to settle for a different option (long and incredibly dull story) I was super excited to get started on the cakes. Hopefully I'll be posting a few more of my successful bakes over here.

Taylor Swift. Ok so I love Taylor every month, but the past few weeks I've really been enjoying my Taylor Swift mix CD (yep, CD. Hello no aux port in my car). There's something so therapeutic about singing along to Fearless and getting odd looks from passing drivers. Also February was the month Taylor bagged herself the title of Elle's Woman of the Year, so you know, all good.

Things From December

Although I've already published my 'Things from 2014', I couldn't let the year pass without a mention of December. It is one of my favourite months after all.

For some reason, this year, I just wasn't feeling as festive as normal. I still had a lovely run up to Christmas, but I just wasn't feeling it as much this year. Maybe it had something to do with the added pressure of having to find a job that left me not being able to relax as much as usual. The pressure was totally self inflicted, but still.

December said goodbye to London and big warm welcome back from my bed. Christmas rolled around and with it came lots of games of trivial pursuit.

I'm far too disorganised for a 'what I got for Christmas' post, but I did receive some lovely gifts from some equally lovely people. Favourites include my super cute Instax Mini Camera, Kate Spade wallet, the Art of Walt Disney book and, of course, just a few more mugs to add to the collection.

I spent my last evening of 2014 in my pyjamas, eating chicago town pizza and watching Prison of Azkaban. Perfect.
