About as subtle as an earthquake, I know, my mistakes were made for you.

Only three days after my last post, I seem to have found a tiny bit of motivation. The motivation comes in the form of this beautiful ASOS dress. Smock dress? Check! Gingham? Check! (excuse the pun). If I hadn't been working all weekend, this is definitely what I would have worn to enjoy the sun. Sadly as I spent most of the sunny hours making coffee, this dress was reserved for Sunday evening eating monster munch.

The sun may have made an appearance this weekend, but I still don't think my legs are ready for the light of day. Or rather, the light of day isn't ready for my legs, they're so pasty I'd say they almost look a little grey. I think I might be clinging onto the tights for a little longer.

Tartan Leggings

I very nearly didn't post this. I'm getting really fed up of my outfit posts lately. Maybe it's the location,(my garden isn't the most exciting of places) or the fact that I'm not the most comfortable in front of a camera, but something isn't working. Despite this, I really really like these leggings and felt it very important that I share them.

Speaking of leggings, I think I have a problem. A few years ago, if you'd have asked me to wear a pair of leggings, I'd have laughed in your face. I used to despise them, especially if they weren't worn with a long enough top. Two years later and I can't get enough of them. Super cosy (always top on my list of priorities) and can be worn with a wide variety of jumpers. I now own around 5 or 6 pairs and love them all equally. This lovely pair is from Topshop and I think we're going to be very good friends. I've also fallen a little in love with this beautiful necklace from Ever Ours. I bought two others but this one is definitely my favourite.

I'm planning on putting together a recent purchases/haul type post. I've bought a few nice bits recently and want to get round to sharing them with you. Problem is I really dislike trying to photograph clothes. It would all be good if I was willing to foray into youtube, so much easier but so much scarier. Not quite sure I see it happening any time soon.

Well you cured my January blues

Hello first outfit post of the year, it's been a while. Firstly, can we please talk about how I definitely should have worn a jacket when taking these photos. Cold is not the word for it.

I bought this a few months back and I only wore it for the first time a few weeks ago. Trying to style a peplum hem skirt is trickier than I first thought. If you fancy giving it a go, it's currently £9.50 in the ASOS sale! I fell in love with this Topshop top a while back, and luckily managed to track it down in the sales at the weekend. I've said it before, I really don't get on well with sales, but once in a while I'll manage to find something good.

I definitely need to find someone to start taking outfit pictures for me. Problem is, when it comes to cameras my mum isn't the most knowledgable. In fact the last time I asked her to take a photo for me it definitely ended in some sort of argument. I was also wearing these beautiful shoes, but couldn't get them in shot!

The Easiest of Jeans

This could probably go down as least exciting outfit post ever but, I'm not going to lie to you, this is what I wore today. As much as a like wearing pretty skirts and putting together nice outfits, sometimes you can't beat a cosy jumper and a good pair of jeans.

I recently re-puchased my beloved Easy Jeans as my first pair were about to give up the ghost. Despite being far too long for my very short legs, they're the best black jeans I've tried. I recently bought some from a different brand but, sadly, they just didn't compare to my favourites.

My morning has consisted of trips to the post office, getting passport photos done in Sainsburys, and spending a lot of time walking at a very, very slow pace behind the pensioners of Christchurch. I'm now going to spend this afternoon putting up the Christmas decorations and watching a festive film. Now to decided between Nativity! or Polar Express.

"Say It's Carol Singers"

Happy 1st December!

It's official. We're allowed to be ridiculously excited, start playing festive music at every given opportunity, and spend any available evening watching Christmas films.

My all time favourite (and believe me, it's a tough choice) has to be Love Actually. Strictly speaking, it's my favourite film ever, not just my favourite Christmas film. However, in the run up to Christmas I never allow myself to watch it before the 1st of December. So, this evening is going to be spent drinking lots of tea out of various festive mugs, and treating myself to this season's first play of Love Actually.

Today I am paying homage to my favourite, in the form of that "Say it's carol singers" scene...

If you fancy having a watch of the real thing, do it here. I know I'm no Keira Knightley or Andrew Lincoln.

Yes I am aware I missed out half of it, but it would've been long.
