This Week's Loves #7

I can't say this has been my best week. I've had a lot of car problems, resulting in spending pretty much every afternoon since Monday taking my car backwards and forwards to the car shop. I have to go back yet again tomorrow, I think I'm on the verge of possibly murdering someone.

Also I've noticed that sometimes I post this on a Friday and sometimes on a Sunday. There's clearly no consistency with my blog, but I just tend to post when I'm in the mood.

Primark
I don't usually bother with Primark all summer but, when it comes to autumn, it's perfect for tights and cosy pyjamas. This week I picked up a couple of new pairs of slippers and some adorable Care Bears pyjamas (not pictured as they are currently being worn).
I also had to pick up this fantastic Ariel t-shirt. I already own a great Ariel night dress thanks to Topshop, but this had to be added to my basket as well. Now I just need to find a way of styling it so that I don't look like a the crazy Disney fan I am.

Bourjois Java Rice Powder
So this has been talked about quite a bit recently, so obviously I had to follow suit and pick one up. It's a lovely light, loose powder that has a slight hint of shimmer. It actually does a pretty good job of keeping my makeup in place through the day at work. Standing next to hot milk and steam all day does not bode well for my makeup. Only downside, I cannot stand the smell.

Blog Love
I've really been enjoying following Hannah's pregnancy journey the past few months. Her youtube updates are lovely and I love seeing all the super adorable baby things. Definitely check her out for something a little different.

And at last I see the light

Maybe two posts on my trip to Disneyland is a little excessive but, after spending the week longing to go back and dreaming of being a princess, I think it had to be done. Here's a round up of some of my instagram snaps (trust me, there could have been a lot more).

We stayed in the New York Hotel for 4 nights, and it was a pretty good hotel. Comfy beds, nice breakfast and, despite googling it beforehand and being told there wasn't, free wifi! It was about a 10 minute walk through the Disney village to the park, and staying in a Disney hotel means early entry to the park in the mornings.

Luckily, our stay coincided with the (never ending) 20th Anniversary celebrations. The Disney Dreams light show that was shown at the castle in the evenings was absolutely magical. I definitely recommend watching it on youtube. The first night we were there, we watched it a little late from right at the back, so on the Friday we sat down at the front 90 minutes early to get a good view. I'm not usually one for being super keen and early, but it was definitely worth it.

Meeting Winnie the Pooh was definitely a highlight for me. He was my favourite as a child yet I'd managed to visit 4 times before without getting a hug. I also came home with a little more merchandise than planned. I picked up a few Tangled items, including a plastic straw cup with a spinning top (definitely a 5 year old at heart) because I just can't get enough of Rapunzel. Then I accidentally came home with a Dumbo and a Hamish Brave bear, whoops.

I feel as though I'm rambling a little now, but I rarely post in detail about the things that I do and it's nice to have a little reminder of my time there.

I suppose maybe it's time to get back to reality and face the fact that I'm not a princess after all.

When you wish upon a star

I'm writing this post whilst watching The Little Mermaid, wearing Ariel pyjamas and having a major case of post-Disney blues. I decided to split my Disneyland post into two parts (you lucky, lucky people). One with my fancy camera photos, and one with Instagram snaps etc.

I really am so so sad to be home. It was my 5th time at Disneyland but, as always, I had an amazing time. I woke up this morning hoping to look out my window and see Sleeping Beauty's castle, and was very disappointed. We were there for 4 nights and, apart from the torrential rain on Monday, we had amazing weather for it. It really was the perfect amount of time to fit everything in without having to rush.

I'll go into more detail in my second post, but below are some of my favourite pictures from my time there.

In other news, I'm pretty sure this is my first post since my new blog design went up. The lovely Lauren designed it for me, and I love it. What do you think?

This Week's Loves #4

I feel so all over the place this week. Similarly to last week, I've been feeling very grumpy and definitely ready for some more time off work.

Disney
It's definitely no secret by now that I'm off to Disneyland next week. I've been watching one film a night until we leave, and engaging anyone that will listen in thrilling conversation about favourite films and characters. For those who are obviously interested, so far I've watched Cinderella, Lion King and Tangled. I think tonight shall be The Aristocats, or possibly The Emperor's New Groove.

Wonderful You
Megan is possibly one of the nicest bloggers I've come across. Her blog is the perfect mix of outfits and beauty. Plus, if you're into youtube, you should definitely check out her videos over there.

Little Red
Another blog with a great mix of fashion, beauty and life. Not only are her posts great, I get some serious hair envy from Lauren.
